In a match-up between the two Cincinnati New Tech Network High Schools Winton Woods was victorious claiming the New Tech Network Cincinnati Series for 2019.
The Warriors’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as the Warriors defeated Aiken 20-2 on Tuesday. Ernest Wolke induced a groundout from Tae to get the last out of the game.
Ty’Rek Spikes collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Warriors to victory. Spikes tripled in the first, singled in the first, doubled in the third, and doubled in the fourth.
Nicolas Haynes was credited with the victory for the Warriors. He went four innings, allowing two runs on zero hits and striking out eight. Wolke threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Josh took the loss for Aiken. He surrendered 20 runs on 24 hits over four innings, striking out one.
The Warriors totaled 24 hits. Wolke, Spikes, ETHAN MILLS, RAEQUAN PRINCE, Anthony Arias, Alex Gentry, Tyson Carter, and Haynes all had multiple hits for the Warriors. Spikes and Wolke each collected four hits to lead the Warriors. The Warriors stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one.
